Mariners get swept

Today the Seattle Mariners were swept by the Los Angeles Angels losing 6-1. Seattle lost the first two games of the series 8,4 and 7,6. Seattle's pitching has not been good, young star Felix Hernandez is likely to miss 3-4 starts with soreness in his elbow, and Jeff Weaver who they signed after he won the world series last season has an ERA (earned run average) of 6.44. The Mariner bats are doing well but they can't be expected to put up big numbers every game. The pitching has to get better for the Mariners to be successful.
